We would like all patients in our community to be able to see a local GP or Nurse when they need to. We have set up a network of GP Practices across the region offering extended opening hours for pre-bookable and same day routine extended access appointments. The GP extended opening hours service operates between 6.00pm-8.00pm on weekdays and 8.00am- 1.00pm on weekends and allows patients to be seen within a network of GP Practices at a convenient time and location, depending on availability.

Our Health Partnership
We are pleased to announce that The Meadows Medical Practice is now part of Our Health Partnership
If you wish to make an appointment with either the Doctor or the Nurse please call in at the surgery or telephone
Appointments are usually made for 10 minutes please ask the receptionist if you require longer.
We operate a pre-bookable appointment system for all routine appointments.
Routine appointments are appointments which can be booked in advance.
If your condition is acute and you need to see the Doctor urgently please let the reception know. If your need is urgent you will always be seen on the day.
If you cannot make an appointment please tell us in advance so that we can offer it to someone else.
Please note that accidents and emergencies take priority over all Surgery and Clinic commitments. Please be understanding if this disrupts the schedule.
Did you know you can book your appointment online?
Using online services makes it more convenient for people at our practice, as there’s no need to make a phone call or visit us. Computer, smartphone or tablet users can make or cancel an appointment at a time that suits them, even when the practice is closed.
If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.
Home visits should be requested before 11am to allow the Doctors to plan their day.
Non urgent visits requested in the afternoon may not be carried out until the following day.
Please note that home visits are only for those too ill to leave their house.
If you simply have a transport problem please ask a friend to help or use the
Community Car Scheme Tel: (01588) 640751 or
Good Neighbours Scheme Tel: (01588) 640016
Advice and results of investigations can be obtained by telephoning the Surgery in the afternoon between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.
If it is not possible to speak to the Doctor immediately you will be advised when to ring
